The only thing you'll need that's different from other fishing you've done is a bait tank and gaff. I got an extra gaff I'll bring. Maybe you can pick one of these up or someone may have one already to bring along. You'll need a piece of rope to drag it along in the water and also use the rope as your stringer. You can split the bait price with someone or bum bait off of people. We'll give you one free pass as a Bait Bummer...after that we'll give you the finger

Come back to the landing with a fish and you can forget about looking like a noob. At the same time don't get in over your head. Cabrillo can get crazy windy and you need to be careful with the boats and ships.
This is what I normally look at when I fish Cabrillo. I've never actually measured the wind speed but speaking from past experiences its usually accurate.
It was showing 15mph yesterday! Whatever ill try my best to make it there. If anybody needs a bait tube to keep live bait let me know and ill bring one.
