3.6' and climbing to 4.3' after 11am
just figured that we could avoid the swell and fish Cabrillo......................majority rules so I'm down for whatever.
Didn't research the swell info... thanks for that Jorge
This would be my first time fishing out front from Redondo, so I'm thinking... mmmmaybe play it safe and skip the swells? Fish Cabrillo? I dunno... Don't wanna seem like a pussy, but just don't know what to expect is all.
I had about a gallon of water or more in my hull in my Stealth 14 at the end of the day just from fishing at the end of the channel (as well as around the bay) from Mission Bay last Saturday!

I even added the weatherstripping to my hatches earlier this year... dang. Those damn side hatches are the culprit I believe. I took on some water splashing over the sides while bobbing around in the sloppy channel, and guarantee it got down into my hull. Time to do the bilge pump mod or think about moving on to another kayak. Andy switched out my side hatches for me when Malibu sent him a new set for me (supposedly better than the original ones, but now I'm not so sure). I didn't even have my two batteries and Bassyaks on board during the tournament either... yikes!
What's the best website to find information on the forecasted swells by the way?
I'm good with whatever you guys want to do...
