Tony Park (ful-rac) just WON the 2016 Marina Del Rey Halibut Derby on his KAYAK!!!! Whooo Hoooo!!! Huge congrats to Tony on a well-deserved WIN!!! Talk about putting Team Sewer on the MAP!!! Awesome job man!!!

Ok I'm Back!

Thanks everyone! Glad I could be apart of kayak fishing history! First kayaker to win the MDR halibut derby! Hell yeah we can compete with boats! I was even able to win after being clearly at a disadvantage compared to the boaters. The whole weight bonus for bringing back live fish is bogus...thank god my fish was big enough to overcome any weight bonuses...2nd place was a 16# fish that got bumped up to 21#...

I wasn't planning on fishing this past weekend so I didn't join the tournament. When I heard Tony caught a nice halibut on Saturday, I figured I would swing by Redondo and support him on Sunday. I ended-up fishing as well and caught a 19lb halibut - doh!!
