Rules: ONLY 24"+ Halibut will count for fish submissions (The GregAndrew Halibut Preservation Rule). All DFW rules & regulations apply - $20 entry (money between friends situation) - Single biggest (by weight) halibut wins total - A tie results in a split of the winnings - 1 pound per minute deduction on late fish (after 12 pm) - If no halibut are caught, the entry fees stay in the pot and rollover for the next month's tournament. Winner earns the title of, and will be addressed as: "CHAMP", until the next winner...
Note: Please get there early for sign ups, or find the tournament director on the water at ch 69. Make sure to have all necessary safety gear. Be aware of the reserve areas (no fishing). A radio is strongly recommended. This is a money between friends situation, let's keep it simple and friendly. Any issues or decisions are to be resolved by the tournament director.
*Please note that if the weather/surf conditions are sketchy, or we hear of a wide open bite... we may change the location as necessary...
Let's plan to Potluck for lunch afterwards, indicate what you can bring when signing up.
All Levels of experience are welcome! Fish, Compete, Be Safe, and have Fun!

Sorry about that Pino... hopefully next time
Hang in there John you got the daddy stuff down!
Hope the wind is down and the weather is nice
few more guys showing interest on Fbook so we will see
I am feeling very fishy... (but it might just be the 3rd straight day of eating leftover Easter salmon that I'm feeling )

Attention monkeyfishturds
I have Kiyos phone number if you want to give him a call
I talked to him yesterday
He will not be there Saturday, and it looks like he has made plans for big changes to his life coming up at the end of this month
Not sure I even believe him yet

The pot rolls on...JohnMckroid wrote: ↑Sun Apr 24, 2022 7:27 am Did anyone have any luck at the last Tournament? or did the pot rollover?
Turns out Gregandrew and I were the only ones willing to brave the possibility of being blown out to sea
Prior commitments and and an ugly forecast kept everyone else away
I was thinking:
Maybe we should drop the word "tournament" from our monthly get together it
sounds too official for now, its not like it was back in the day as far as turn outs and it may never be
It really is just a day of fishing and Money Between Friends MBF
But it is just as much fun and I would like to us work towards having a pot luck or maybe plan of meeting for lunch somewhere
just a thought
any waaaaaaaay
Here are a few pics
Waves were crashing over the wall early but it was actually a pretty nice day out there
WTF?
