Rules: ONLY 24"+ Halibut will count for fish submissions (The GregAndrew Halibut Preservation Rule). All DFW rules & regulations apply - $20 entry (money between friends situation) - Single biggest (by weight) halibut wins total - A tie results in a split of the winnings - 1 pound per minute deduction on late fish (after 12 pm) - If no halibut are caught, the entry fees stay in the pot and rollover for the next month's tournament. Winner earns the title of, and will be addressed as: "CHAMP", until the next winner...

Note: Please get there early for sign ups, or find the tournament director on the water at ch 69. Make sure to have all necessary safety gear. Be aware of the reserve areas (no fishing). A radio is strongly recommended. This is a money between friends situation, let's keep it simple and friendly. Any issues or decisions are to be resolved by the tournament director.

*Please note that if the weather/surf conditions are sketchy, or we hear of a wide open bite... we may change the location as necessary...

Let's plan to Potluck for lunch afterwards, indicate what you can bring when signing up.

All Levels of experience are welcome! Fish, Compete, Be Safe, and have Fun!

We had 7 of us out there braving the wind, swells and cold...
Actually it was a beautiful day
you should have joined us! 8-)

I think we had 3 shorts reported and a couple sand bass?
Others can chime in with their day I know Roby hooked a big one :?

Beautiful way to start the day:

I got this guy pretty early which I thought was a good sign, but nope he was a lonely unicorn:

Maybe I should blur the background? :

I haven't bought bait in a long time but gave it a shot since I wanted to get fishing asap, The bait consisted of small sardines with some tiny chovies in the mix. Never seen this before but a lot of the bait had these bites on them... your guess on what caused it?

Fuel dock has been closed for repairs for quite awhile...nice kayak!

The pot luck was canceled in favor of a Busy Bee sandwich run. But I had to bail and get ready for my wife's 40 year San Pedro High reunion
where I had the opportunity to complain to my friend and owner of San Pedro Bait Co. about his non productive bait

Well that's all folks...
No 24"+ halibut caught so the pot grows. Not sure where it stands now?
Had a great time fishing with you guys as usual, already looking forward to the next time!

My daughter graduates this June from UC Santa Cruz. Ever think of having a Baytuber outing up North? Thinking of paying SoCal a visit.

Sounds like you married your High School sweetheart! Kudos for maintaining a marriage that survives the test of time! I am guessing that you went to school with Danny., and probably know Mark and Paul from your wife's class? I shared a dock with them when I was apprenticing on the Freedom and they were learning on the Sportking at Ports O' Call. Quite an impressive fishing empire those guys built!
