Biggest Halibut Of 2013
This is a year long contest, starting 12:01am January 27, 2013 and ending December 31, 2013.
Rules for submission;
1. Halibut must be caught from a kayak only. NO boats or any other motorized vessels.
2. Picture #1 - Photo of halibut measured white side up, mouth shut with the tape completely flat and straight. Tape measure to start at 2 inch mark. (“Burn” 2 inches).
3. Picture #2 - Photo of angler with fish, preferably on the kayak on the water.
4. Picture #3 – Photo of fish on the scale.
5. Weight is to be rounded down to the nearest ½ pound. For example; 25lb 7 ounces = 25lb submission. 25lbs 9 ounces = 25- ½ pound submission.
6. You must be a member in good standing. No lurkers or submissions by anglers who have not participated in some way on the board.
7. There will be a one pound bonus for halibut caught during a Baytuber tournament.
* NOTE: Picture #1 must show the entire halibut (white side up) with nothing in the mouth. Take the game clip out, maybe use it to help hold the halibuts mouth shut.
* NO SANDBAGGING; Please post your entry by the end of the month that you caught the fish in.
There will be some kind of plaque or trophy for the winner. BUT this is more about having some fun. We all know that anyone who fishes for halibut even occasionally has a shot at getting the big one.
Please feel free to share all of your halibut catches here, maybe your first legal, your first legal of 2013, your personal best?
Should be fun seeing all the halibut and who ends up with the biggest of 2013.
