but if you like good food with friends, stories and laughs... we did have some of that...

today we had 10 'tubers in the tournament but not a halibut to be found... (it's getting to be painfully common...) there were a couple of "almost" halibut, but they ended up being leopards... early on, son cao, (caden's buddy), got a nice rat yellow just outside the harbor... (by the end of the day it was looking a bit toasty...) and well, you know its a slow fishing day when the top radio topic of the day was "how to cook mackerel"...







the good news is that $50 remains in the pot for next month... CABRILLO... date to be announced. see you there!

I got at least 5 Halibut on video following my bait. 4 bit the bait but did not stick. The 5th probably would have bit, but the bait was dead. I will post up a bit of video when I get around to it, cause one of the Halibut was playing "Leap Frog" with a Bat Ray chasin my bait
