Its official we still suck at halibut fishing…
Well OK not all of us
Big congrats to some guy name Tony Parks, who signed up at the last minute and took all our money plus our “we are lame” roll over money with a beautiful 30 pound halibut. $65 + $145 for a total of $210.00! Way to pull a big fish out of tough conditions Tony and show us all that there are indeed halibut in those damn waters.
Sharing in the joy of actually catching a fish today was Alicia, AKA Sandy Beach who out fished the boys with an awesome 27 pound white sea bass that had everyone jealous.
We had 13 anglers today
1. Tony / Fulrac
2. Alicia / Sandy beach
3. Greg / Gregandrew
4. Tommy / Tstephens3232
5. Scott / In2deep
6. Bill / Farmer
7. Shawn / Hunterspa
8. Rick / Rick
9. Kevin / Estlosyacker
10. David / Kurmitt
11. Pedro / Pino
12. Don / Bellcon
13. James / Theluckypig
A great group who put up with some weird conditions including a blood red sun, a funnel cloud, dense fog / smoke / smog and bait that was about as tough to make as it gets. People were genuinely stoked when they caught a piece of bait and overwhelmed with joy at the site of a raked bait.
There were rumors of other fish caught, we’ll see if they chime in.
Looking forward to August,
James and I have football obligations so it looks like we will be going back to a Sunday format for a couple months and being the current champ Tony gets to choose the location, stay tuned and we will fill in the blanks.
